Effective pretty much immediately, Gamepro is shutting down work on Blogfaction. The sites will still exist, but will no longer be updated, making this my last post.

As a huge fan of the Metal Gear franchise, I loved this gig. I've been writing on this site for over a year now and it was the coolest job I've ever had, thanks in no small part to you guys. I loved bringing you guys Metal Gear news and appreciated all of your comments, even if it was just teh2Dgamer scaring the shit out of us with his weapon knowledge.

You guys rock and I want to thank all of you for making my time at OMG Metal Gear fantastic. If any of you feel the need to stalk me, feel free to follow my Twitter account.

Good game, everyone.

According to Japanese sources, Hideo Kojima has hinted at a rather big surprise involving Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

In a post from the end of August, I linked to three articles that made the case for Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 being the best games in the series. Now Tyler Clemmons is back with his arguement as to why Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the best in the series. It's short, but a good read.

A few months ago I linked to the first two parts of this article titled Why Metal Gear Solid is the Greatest Videogame Story Ever Told, so it only seems right to link you to the third and final part. This was actually posted a while back, but I just remembered today, because that's how I roll.

And a special thanks to the article's author Gary Swaby for linking back to OMG Metal Gear. Thanks Gary!

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker demo that was available to Tokyo Game Show attendees is available now over at the Peace Walker official site. Since I find myself lacking a PSP, I ask that you all try it out and do a 15,000 word write-up of your impressions.

Or just post a line or two in the comments.

This week, Weapon Wednesdays returns with part six of my Beretta 92 feature, where I continue talking about the various Beretta models.

Hideo Kojima has revealed that Kojima Productions is currently making changes to the Peace Walker controls at a "rapid pace."

This was taken at a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker event in Tokyo. I was never alarmed, because if Snake really was going to kill those people, they probably had it coming.

For those of you without access to the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker demo (like myself), this playthrough from Giant Bomb will have to do. My time to acquire a PSP is running out!

Gaming blog Kotaku as nice enough to scan in a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker promo booklet that they recieved at the Tokyo Game Show. Most of you won't be able to read the writing, but it sure is darn pretty to look at.
