But is it the end of Snaaaaaaake?!

But is it the end of Snaaaaaaake?!

Metal Gear Solid 4 producer Ryan Peyton told MTV Multiplayer that while Solid Snake's time may have come to an end, the Metal Gear series will continue. Hit the jump to read more.

"I think there's been some misconceptions that this is the last 'Metal Gear.' This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story."

Peyton goes to say that Metal Gear Solid 4 will wrap up all of the loose ends that the series has accumulated over the years.

This may also explain Konami's little stunt at their press conference last week, where they played the Ocelot side of a mysterious phone call.

By the way, what should we do about "The Project"?

Yes, that's correct.

That man has fallen.

It's about the sequel.

You know what I want to see in a new Metal Gear game? A playable Revolver Ocelot. Think about it.

There could be many possibilities, so call this a list of what i would like to see:

Big Boss Saves Eva in Hanoi: It's mentioned in MGS4 by Eva, so what happened there?

Liquid Snake: It says he was captured in the Middle East somewhere in MGS1, so whats that about? Also, he said he had a relationship with big boss, sure it was about hating the man, but what was the nature of their meeting and all that jazz about?

Ocelot: All Signs point to him pretty much, the most mysterious character in the metal gear saga. How did he link up with FOXHOUND for liquids revolt? Was it Ocelot that saved Naomi when she was arrested? Is he really the son of The Boss and The Sorrow?

Raiden: Also another possibility, seeing as he was the leading character in MGS2. However, its highly unlikely due to his popularity as a character in the overall series. He said he did a bit of wandering before he met Eva, so it might be about that.

However, what i think fans SHOULD see is a reconstructed release of both Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Even though both games are mentioned in all of the games in the metal gear series, a lot of people still haven't played them, and a reconstructed release on ps3 might change their minds.
