In an effort to bring in more players, Konami is offering 5,000 reward points and a special MGO Codec pack with exclusive voice content to new players.

The offer is available to everybody who registers the MGO retail version between December 24th, 2008 and February 16th, 2009. Unfortunately this means that gamers who had previously registered and installed Metal Gear Online, which is probably a lot of you, are ineligible for this offer.

While it's awesome for Konami to offer an additional incentive to newcomers, it's pretty crappy to us loyal fans who have been there from the start. Anybody feel the same way?

How is MGO? I really haven't heard much about it from people on GP.

Metal gear online is more sneak-around-the-unaware-noob-then-pop-a-tranquilizer-dart-in-his-head type of game although there are way more people who take the (RETARDED) practical approach and just run-in-like-a idiot-and-fire-alot-before-being-taken-down! If you own a PS3 download the demo off of PSS. (It's awesome!)
