Effective pretty much immediately, Gamepro is shutting down work on Blogfaction. The sites will still exist, but will no longer be updated, making this my last post.

As a huge fan of the Metal Gear franchise, I loved this gig. I've been writing on this site for over a year now and it was the coolest job I've ever had, thanks in no small part to you guys. I loved bringing you guys Metal Gear news and appreciated all of your comments, even if it was just teh2Dgamer scaring the shit out of us with his weapon knowledge.

You guys rock and I want to thank all of you for making my time at OMG Metal Gear fantastic. If any of you feel the need to stalk me, feel free to follow my Twitter account.

According to Japanese sources, Hideo Kojima has hinted at a rather big surprise involving Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
 

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker demo that was available to Tokyo Game Show attendees is available now over at the Peace Walker official site. Since I find myself lacking a PSP, I ask that you all try it out and do a 15,000 word write-up of your impressions.

Hideo Kojima has revealed that Kojima Productions is currently making changes to the Peace Walker controls at a "rapid pace."

Gaming blog Kotaku as nice enough to scan in a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker promo booklet that they recieved at the Tokyo Game Show. Most of you won't be able to read the writing, but it sure is darn pretty to look at.

Over at Amazon.com, Solid Snake wriggled his way back into the top five best selling games, but not for long.

In a recent interview with Media Molecule, the minds behind the phenomenal LittleBigPlanet, they discussed the game's Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid downloadable content and there run-in with Hideo  Kojima.

When Solid Snake does it, it's pretty funny. However, when a real-life double murder suspect uses the box trick to escape from prison, I don't laugh as much.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP will be playable at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2009. The game will be available at demo kiosks and will also be downloadable at the event, according to Joystiq.

To celebrate the twenty year anniversary of Metal Gear on the Nintendo Entertainment System, Medicom is releasing a batch of Metal Gear Solid series action figures.
