Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, will be involved with the upcoming Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. In a recent interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, he explanined his responsibilites.

Last week I started my feature on the Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun. Such an old gun has quite a history behind it, so I broke it up into multiple, bite-size chunks, so you guys don't choke.

Since I've been talking about the Browning M2, which Vulcan Raven uses on his tank, this felt appropriate. Enjoy the trip down memory lane! Also, does the video not have sound, or is my computer on its deathbed?

Any takers? It's since been fixed, but this price was all too real earlier today on Amazon. Then again, if any game were worth a whole grand, it just might be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Hideo Kojima has ideas for the Metal Gear Solid franchise beyond the upcoming Rising and Peace Walker, but he doesn't want Kojima Productions to use any of them because he doesn't want to be involved.

The Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun makes an appearance in both the original Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This big chugalugalug machine gun is not to be taken lightly.

The original Metal Gear Solid hit the North American PSN last week, almost eleven years after it first debuted on the original Sony PlayStation. Gamepro's Dave Rudden immediately posed the question of how gamers will find Meryl's codec number with no box. I don't know, Dave. I don't know.

Rosemary, Raiden's girlfriend, was far from the most popular character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. And I mean far, far from the most popular. However, Edward over at Metal Gear Solid.org has written up an interesting article in an attempt to justify her role in the game. Whether or not it will change your opinion of the character remains to be seen, but it's a good read nonetheless.

Feel free to share your thoughts on the article and Rosemary.

The day is here, folks. Though originally announced for yesterday, June 17th, the original Metal Gear Solid will hit the PlayStation Network today for $9.99. That's a pretty sweet bargain for one of the best games of all time. To those who purchase it, feel free to share your nostalgic experiences in the comments.
